Yaroslav Yurchyshyn, an MP from the liberal opposition Holos (Voice) party, now heads the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine’s parliament) Committee on Freedom of Speech and Information, replacing of Nestor Shufrych, an MP from the outlawed Opposition Platform – Fore Life (OPFL) pro-Russian party. Shufrych has recently been charged with treason.
