In the long list of household items that contain animal-derived ingredients, your teeth whitening system whether it’s a paste, strips, or another more elaborate system may not have even crossed your mind. It’s time to add them to your list!
Many teeth whitening products contain glycerin, found in “animal and vegetable fats” propolis, which is “derived from bees” or use cruel animal-based testing. This is also not to mention flavors and colorings, which is incredibly hard to verify as vegan unless specifically noted as such. In particular, you want to avoid certain brands that test on animals and/or use animal-derived ingredients “Crest, Colgate, Sensodyne, Arm & Hammer, Aquafresh, Biotene, [and] Spry,” all of which still test on animals. When it comes down to picking up that teeth whitening pro
