However, clinton just picked up an endorsement from the congressional black caucus. Ahead of South Carolinas primaries, the delegate count for candidates is close. After a win in New Hampshire, Bernie Sanders has 36 pledged delegates. Hillary clinton has 32. In South Carolina thehe are 53 pledged delegates up for grabs for the democrats. Those will be awarded to each candidate proportionally, based on how many votes they get in the primary. In all, it takes nearly 24 hundred to win the democratic nomination.
