An Extinction Rebellion activist has avoided trial over a graffiti attack at the Department of Agriculture.
Orla Murphy, aged 20, with an address at Ballinacarrig, Whitechurch, Co Cork, was charged with criminal damage by spraying ‘It’s All For Show’ on the window of the Department of Agriculture, on Kildare St, Dublin 2, on December 4, 2020.
An Extinction Rebellion activist has had her case over a graffiti attack on a Government building in Dublin dismissed.
Orla Murphy (20) was charged with criminal damage for spray painting âItâs all for showâ on the Department of Agricultureâs building in Kildare Street in December.
She pleaded not guilty to the charge at the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin on Tuesday and walked away after her case was dismissed.
She told the PA news agency: âIt got dismissed, so thatâs it. Sin e. It got dismissed without prejudice so they could bring it back if they wanted to, but thatâs it. Iâm very happy. Itâs great to have it out of the way.â

AN EXTINCTION REBELLION activist has avoided trial over a graffiti attack at the Department of Agriculture.
Orla Murphy, 20, with an address at Ballinacarrig, Whitechurch, Co. Cork, was charged with criminal damage by spraying ‘It’s All For Show’ on the window of the Department of Agriculture, on Kildare Street, Dublin 2 on 4 December last.
She had pleaded not guilty and walked free from court today.
According to Extinction Rebellion the slogan was in a protest on the UN’s sustainable development goals.
