Abdulla Shahid, president of the UN General Assembly (UNGA), commended Cambodia for sending peacekeeping forces under the UN umbrella to a number of countries around the world on humanitarian missions and for successfully chairing ASEAN this year in a manner that has drawn compliments from many other nations.

Abdulla Shahid, president of the 76th Session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA), will pay a two-day visit to Cambodia on August 21-22 to discuss various issues including the "constructive roles" played by the Kingdom within the UN and ASEAN frameworks.

Cambodia is taking further steps to optimise the implementation of Economic Diplomacy Strategy (EDS) 2021-2023 to boost economic cooperation between the six Mekong countries, garner more inbound investment flows and promote local products abroad, a workshop heard on June 27.
