Plans to expand and remodel the more than century-old Carnegie Library in Manitou Springs received official city approval earlier this month, bringing the long-awaited project another step closer to completion.

The Manitou Springs City Council on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, selected Ratio Architects LLC to develop library design alternatives and engineering and construction designs for the upgrade and remodel the historic Carnegie Library building, 701 Manitou Ave. The building is aging and must be upgraded so it is compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
