There has been a lot debate surrounding the Kensington Expressway Project plan to cover a section of the highway and turn it into a tunnel, but a growing opposition wants to do something else.
A $921.8 million plan to re-create a portion of Humboldt Parkway destroyed by the Kensington Expressway, rather than restoring the parkway, lacks support and enthusiasm.
The compromise of creating a tunnel and inadequate green space will not do justice to the residents of the East Side. Humboldt Parkway must be restored in full.
