Starved, abandoned puppy fighting for life
From Staff Reports
LEBANON TWP. – Ryker, a 1-year-old pit bull mix, has miraculously survived severe starvation and cruelty after being abandoned in a park in Philadelphia on April 25.
Too weak to move or stand, Ryker was discovered by a good Samaritan and is now receiving emergency veterinary care at Crown Veterinary Specialists. We are deeply disturbed and saddened by the horrific condition that Ryker was found in,” Outcast Rescue founding board member Beth Hucke said.
“Outcast Rescue is committed to doing all we can to ensure he makes a full recovery. We named him Ryker because it means ‘strength’ and he’s demonstrated he’s a fighter,” she said.
