greg: all right, so as the report on the crisis at the border, we ve overlooked a crisis between our borders. domestic migration. americans were moving from one state to another. also known as sweet freedom. we touched on it last week. here s the big problem. domestic migration. do you know if that is? people moving from one place to another. yes. but they bring [laughter] he s right, but. they are bringing their bad ideas with them. if i was any dumber i would be nicole wallace. so it s the cause and effect that comes from overtaxed, under protected, and treated like. it is like you are permanently living on a delta flight.
We've talked before about how Illinois is not only leading the Midwest in outbound migration, but the entire nation. Study after study has asked those who are trying to leave why they want out of our state. Most, if not all, said there was one main reason.
we haven t seen that yet. i suspect like james just said a moment ago we re going to see that as part of the investigation. and i have to say as well the fact that the protocol wasn t followed, he wasn t as you spoke a moment ago with the reporter, they weren t checkig up on him every half hour. we had a guard that was overtaxed. we know our bureau of prisons can be overtaxed at times. i had an escape, i ve had unfortunately i ve had defendants who were harmed in custody. so it does happen. but in this particular case very, very troubling. yeah, and usually there would be documentation of rounds, right, at this prison or really any of them. sources are apparently telling us that guards falsified documents saying that they did make the rounds. does if that is indeed the case based on what sources are saying, does that now open things up, renato, to a chance
enforce removal orders all the while backing up cbp in terms of detention with the border crisis. but why add to a system that s overtaxed. why not prioritize that right now here s my real question, it seems that the president wants to choose to keep hammering on the harshness and keep hammering on enforcement and doing after them and not dealing with the true crisis of humanity and caring for these kids and families which he never prioritizes. chris, you said yourself that it s important to enforce the laws as written. and i would note that the appropriation bill that passed last month, most of that bill went to care for children and what happened. yes. so we went from about 2,500 kids in these facilities, not designed for them, down to below 350 with only a handful, maybe 20 or so that have been there more than that requisite 72 hours, which is our target time
