Town boss Joe Royle has said that incoming signings are on hold until the future of the out of contract players has been resolved. Royle is waiting to hear back from Jermaine Wright, Richard Naylor, Jim Magilton, Chris Makin, John McGreal and Fabian Wilnis regarding the new deals they were recently offered.

Town boss Roy Keane could be without loan striker Daryl Murphy when Sheffield United come to Portman Road for the final game of the season on Sunday (KO 1pm). Murphy, whose spell comes to an end after Sundays game, has a thigh strain with Keane unlikely to take a chance on the Sunderland man if he is in any doubt regarding his fitness.
