SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Michiana Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in locating an individual who cut off his GPS band.
Pablo Pedraza is now facing charges of escape and probation violation from his original felony charges, police said.

The Padillas-Villegas family had been worrying over the condition of their 18-month-old child with heart disease. Their daughter Evangelina required anti-rejection medicine which is delivered, every month to the Drury Inn Hotel where Evangelina s dad, Rey works.
Child with Heart Condition in Dire Need of Medicine
Severe weather conditions had already delayed the delivery of the medication for several days. They could not use emergency delivery via helicopter. On the day that Evangelina was to take the only remaining dose for her heart condition, the family received a call from the pharmacy clerk telling them the good news that they found someone to deliver the life-saving medicine.

His wife worried for his safety. A co-worker said he was crazy to do it.
But Pablo Pedraza was undeterred. A toddler needed her medicine, never mind the bad weather and ice-slicked highways.
On Wednesday, the professional driver embarked on a route different from the one he usually takes in Houston for his part-time job. This route was from Houston to San Antonio and he drove it at considerable risk.
Pedraza, 40, works for Atlas Delivery Service, which contracts with the Texas Children’s Hospital specialty pharmacy in Houston.
