New Zealand On Thursday, the NZX50 rose 0.6 per cent to 12,715.20 points.
Energy (+3.5 per cent) and consumer non-cyclicals (+1.8 per cent) made the biggest gains, while real estate and Financials (both -0.4 per cent) underperformed.
Z Energy (+3.5 per cent to $2.63) was the top performer of the day. The fuel distributor will release its FY21 results next week Thursday at 8.30am. Also in the green were health care giant EBOS Group (+3.1 per cent to $29.95) and film software provider Vista Group International (+3.0 per cent to $2.37).

Infratil chief executive Jason Boyes. Photo / NZ Herald Infrastructure investor Infratil has agreed to buy between 50.1 per cent and 60 per cent of Pacific Radiology Group - New Zealand s largest private diagnostic imaging service provider - from existing doctor shareholders for up to $350 million.
The move follows Infratil s purchase of Australian diagnostic imaging company Qscan from Quadrant Private Equity for A$280.6m ($301.1m) in December.
Pacific Radiology operates 46 clinics in the South Island and lower North Island, employing 90 radiologists.

(Reuters) â Infratil Ltd executed an agreement to buy a stake in New Zealand-based radiology provider Pacific Radiology Group for up to NZ$350 million ($254.21 million), the energy and transport infrastructure investor said on Thursday.
Infratil will buy between 50.1% and 60% of Pacific Radiology, in a move that marks its shift toward the healthcare sector after it announced a strategic review of its assets and acquired a diagnostic imaging firm in Australia last year.

INFRATIL ANNOUNCES AGREEMENT TO ACQUIRE STAKE IN PACIFIC RADIOLOGY GROUP Infratil Limited ( Infratil ) announces that it has executed a conditional agreement to acquire between 50.1% and 60% of Pacific Radiology Group Limited ( Pacific Radiology ), a comprehensive Diagnostic Imaging business in New Zealand, from existing Doctor shareholders, for total consideration of up to NZ$350 million. Pacific Radiology is the largest private diagnostic imaging service provider in New Zealand, operating 46 clinics in the South Island and lower North Island and employing 90 radiologists throughout New Zealand. Completion of the Pacific Radiology acquisition is conditional on counterparty consents to change of control in relation to a small number of material contracts. Assuming those consents are given, completion is expected by 31 May 2021.
