A Santa Cruz Metro bus headed to the Scotts Valley and the San Lorenzo Valley waits on Soquel Avenue between River and Front streets for riders before heading out.
In an effort to keep things simple and easy during the period of transition, Metro is also offering free fares throughout its bus system from Feb. 8-25.
The funding will be used to redevelop the local agency's Watsonville Transit Center into an affordable, transit-oriented housing development complete with at least 65 units, 100% of which will be affordable.
