Two major changes to local highways are set to begin Monday morning.

Crews are beginning construction on the westbound side of the Norwood Lateral beginning late Sunday, June 9. The westbound lanes are expected to be closed for up to 80 days.

It's all part of a major $21.4 million project.

The body of a mother missing for two weeks was found in a trash can behind an abandoned building in Ohio.

She had not been seen since May 15-16.

The eastbound lanes of the Norwood Lateral are set to be reopened late Tuesday to early Wednesday morning.

The eastbound side of the Norwood Lateral is reopening after closing for repairs, the Ohio Department of Transportation Public Information Officer, Kathleen Fuller said.

ODOT officials urged drivers to be safe around road construction. In the lead up to the event, there had already been 43 crashes involving drivers and construction crews this year. As officials spoke, that number rose to 44.
