A newly formed organization is hoping to build a new community center on Paducah’s Southside that honors the memory of what was once the center of Black education in the western Kentucky city.
Groups like the United Way of Kentucky are continuing to support the progress communities are making as recovery efforts continue nearly nine months after the December tornado outbreak.
The group Camp Graves is receiving $250,000 from the United Way and the United Way of Paducah-McCracken County. The goal, provide rental homes free of charge.
