Border management being modernized to ensure national security: Interior Minister

Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said border management is being modernized to ensure national security, promote cross border trade and people s movement.
He said this during aerial view of Pakistan-Iran border, after reaching Balochistan on a four-day visit to the province today (Friday).
Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said fencing along Iran and Afghanistan borders will be completed by June this year.
He said ninety percent of fencing work has been completed along the Durand Line, while 40 percent of similar work has been finished along Pakistan-Iran border.
The Minister also visited recently established Pakistan-Iran Trade Gate in Balochistan and reviewed facilities for movement of trade goods between Pakistan and Iran.
