Unified efforts can build a healthy city: KCC mayor 364 KHULNA, Feb 18, 2021 (BSS) – Khulna City Corporation (KCC) Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleque today said coordinated efforts of all government and non-government organisations are needed to implement a health friendly city. “KCC cannot be done everything alone; many barriers have been prevailing here to make a healthy city. We should reach our cherished destination after finding out its problem,” he said while presiding over a meeting of the advisory committee of healthy city at a city hotel. KCC, World Health Organisation (WHO) and Directorate of Health jointly organized the meeting. The government has formed a health advisory committee aiming to implement Health Environmental City: Metropolis Administration for Good Health and Prosperity at the KCC area under the uninfected disease control unit of the Directorate of Health Programme.
