Former US vice-presidential candidate Palin defeated in Alaska comeback bid

Rep. Mary Peltola, the first native Alaskan to serve in Congress, has won re-election, beating former state governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin for The Last Frontiers sole House seat. According to results released Wednesday by the Alaska Division of Elections, Peltola garnered nearly 55% of the vote to Palins 45 percent in the third round of ranked choice voting in the mid-term elections that were held on Nov. 8.

Swiss hospitality NGO signs MoU on training

Trainers and tourism industry staff in five provinces have received instruction in professional hospitality skills from Swiss NGO Swisscontact since 2021. The project will run until 2024. 40 fall victim to UXO in '22 as of October

In the first 10 months of this year, 40 Cambodians fell victim to unexploded ordnance (UXO), a decrease of five per cent compared to the same period last year, according to a Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority (CMAA) report. Of the 40 victims, 10 were killed outright, seven lost limbs and 23 received less serious injuries.
