A rare sight back to the bay area. Thats rain. We havent seen any for 15 days until last night. Showers stretched from the north bay to santa clara and you can see mill valley got soaked with 2 3 of an inch in less than three hours. And powerful winds have been snapping tree limbs and toppling signs and we will take a look at more damage from the storm coming up in just a few minutes. House was on fire just a few hours ago. But this story goes back months. This house was the scene of a gruesome murder. You are taking a look at this flames that broke out overnight. But you may remember. Back in november a fire started at this exact house while 4 people were in there and a baby. Two women were bound. Duct taped. And badly burned. One man was stabbed. And another died inside the house. No arrests were ever made. As for this latest fire investigators say the house is vacant. Its still too early to say if this was arson.
