The former clerk for Morgan County Road District 8 has been charged with theft and official misconduct after allegations that someone took more than $100,000 from the district’s bank account for personal use.
Pamela S. Redd, 62, of 102 S. School Ave., Alexander, was charged with felony theft and felony official misconduct following an investigation into the missing funds.
Morgan County State’s Attorney Gray Noll said the thefts are believed to have started in 2015.
“The allegations indicate that Pamela Redd used the road district’s checking account to make a variety of personal purchases over the last five years,” Noll said.
