All major indices of the stock markets in Bangladesh and turnover fell yesterday as risk-averse investors were on a selling spree amid persisting uncertainty and lower earnings reported by companies.

Stock index of Dhaka bourse continued to rise for the second consecutive day today while its turnover remained low.

Both Dhaka and Chittagong stock exchanges rose for the second consecutive day yesterday although turnover remained low amid lower participation of investors who grow concerned about persisting economic uncertainty at home and abroad.   

Stocks remained flat after ups and downs of the benchmark index at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) today as shaky investors shied from buying stocks amid the tension over economic indicators of the country.

Stocks more or less flatlined following fluctuations of the benchmark index at Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) yesterday while turnover dropped to less than Tk 1,000 crore.
