A group of 10 child care programs in Beltrami and Clearwater County recently earned ratings from Parent Aware, an organization that offers help to families seeking quality child care and education.

The Northland Foundation, Duluth Area Family YMCA, and Cook County and Grand Marais EDA receive grants from DEED for child care opportunities.

Qualified child care providers can receive up to $6,000 in grants for child care items. They can also become eligible to accept early learning scholarships of up to $8,500 per year on behalf of qualified families.

Applications for the January 2023 Parent Aware cohort are now open, allowing child care programs to apply to receive quality ratings.

Parent Aware’s mission is to help families find the quality care and education their children need to succeed in school and life.
