Park City Council candidates gathered for a debate co-hosted by The Park Record and KPCW as well as the Park City Community Foundation and the Park City Chamber/Bureau on Monday at the Blair Education Center. The six men covered topics such as housing, transportation, traffic, child care, climate change, taxes, growth and development over the two hour event.
The lines of cars on Bonanza Drive and Kearns Boulevard are evidence of the numerous Parkites, commuters and skiers driving through the Bonanza Park district, many heading to or from the S.R. 248 and S.R. 224 entryways.
Ciraco is not an opponent of a system known as bus rapid transit, with lanes dedicated to buses, but he prefers a rail line. He said grant monies from the federal and state governments could offset much of the cost of a rail line.
