A primary school in Somerset has been closed today (Monday, May 10) due to major flooding .

Whilst the Covid-19 pandemic has had a national impact with apprenticeship starts down across the whole country, in the borough of Rochdale, 14 new apprentices have started their training at Rochdale Borough Council since the start of 2021.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, 32 new apprentices have started with the council and schools.
The apprentices to have started this year are:

A NEW primary school will open on the western edge of Taunton by September 2022, the county council has promised. Construction is currently proceeding on the Orchard Grove development - also known as the Comeytrowe urban extension - between the A38 Wellington Road and Honiton. The site, which will be built out by 2028, will eventually feature 2,000 houses, employment units, a ‘park and bus’ facility and a new primary school.
