Bricelyn – Arlen Spencer Legred of Bricelyn died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2020 at Parkview Home in Wells. A celebration of Arlen’s life will take place this summer. Please see www.brussheitner.com to leave online condolences. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells is in charge of arrangements.
Arlen Spencer Legred was born to Thomas and Marie Legred in rural Brush Creek on Jan. 19, 1933. He lived most of his life in the Brush Creek area, with the exception of two years in Killen, Texas, while he served as Corporal in the Army.
He grew up farming with his brothers and caring for his little sisters. He was a hero at the age of 10 when he carried out his younger siblings from an early morning house fire.
