Youre on the Moon Shot Task force for cancer cures. I am. Ive got a homework assignment. The Surgeon General in 2014 said skin cancer was the fastest killing cancer of all cancers. As one who survived two melanomas in my life, i took that on as a call to action. And found out there was a 13 year backlog of ingredients submitted to fda approval in sunscreen that had been delayed. So we passed the sunscreen innovation act out of the Health Education labor committee. 14 months later, none of those ingredients have been approved. Nothing has moved forward. Summary here and there are things in here that i agree on. You guys have been so critical of the 1964 war on poverty saying that we should actually try to help lift people out of poverty so they could be selfsufficient. I would be really happy to join you guys on that effort to do that but not with this double speak sort of stuff where you say you want to lift people out of poverty and then you do that by cutting medicaid and cutting snap. Really allowing people to have child care and snap and Educational Opportunity for 200, 250 of the Poverty Level and not just cutting them off and subjecting them to these high marginal tax rates. Lower than higher expected enrollments, restrictions on investors, risk adjustment formulas, lots of those. Let me start off. What are the top reasons the coop failed in your state . Thank you for your question. Our coop had challenges from inception, in that as the commissioner mentioned, going into a state without Provider Networks cause the company to have to lease those. There were a ministry of cost that were new to the startup, that any startup would have. But in 2014, we had disastrously low enrollment. Truly come at most, 1000 people signed up for the coop plan. Mostly because the rates were somewhat higher than the leader and the wellestablished companies in tennessee. Overcoming those challenges became extremely difficult. And is why we saw significant rate increases for 2015 and beyond because of the enrollees across the marke

I feared for his life. I didnt know whether my son was going to survive or not. I could not bear to watch the video of his beating. What if he was screaming for help . I could not be by his side to comfort him. When i arrived at the hospital to see him, there was an Israeli Police officer guarding his door. He refused to let me in at first and i pleaded to him, i told him, but im his mother until my husband convinced him finally to let me see my son. When i got the chance to go in and see him, before i got in the Israeli Police officer told me that i could not get near him, touch him or speak to him. When i looked over at him, it was like looking at someone i didnt know, i was meeting for the first time. His face was distorted. He just, he did not look normal. Um, he was sleeping, an
