A sustainable ceasefire. One that addresses all of the concerns, the longterm concerns as well, begin to talk about the underlying causes of the conflict in gaza, although they will not be resolved in the context of a ceasefire discussion. To try to build, to begin and move in a process and that is what we are trying to achieve. That thehe only way conflict is going to be resolved. If we can make some progress, the people in this region, who deserve peace, can take one step towards that elusive goal by stopping the violence which catches innocents on all sides in the crossfire and begin to try to build a Sustainable Way forward. Any process to asolve the crisis in gaza in lasting and meaningful way must lead to the disarmament of hamas and all terrorist groups. We will work closely with israel and regional partners and the International Community in support of this goal. We continue to have these discussions. In discussions succeeded putting a 12 hour humanitarian ceasefire in place. F

Mr. Reid mr. President . The presiding officer the majority leader. Mr. Reid i ask unanimous consent the call of the quorum be terminated. The presiding officer without objection. Mr. Reid mr. Its also with republicans. When we work together, which we do outside the view of most of the public, we work well together. And one of the troubling things for me, as im sure it is all of us, when someone who is a part of the family leaves, and especially it applies when you feel so close to the Family Member thats leaving. Annual interest costs will total 5. 4 trillion. By 2020, seven years from now, interest costs are expected to exceed the cost of National Defense. And i just left the Defense Committee hearing talking about the sequester and how damaging that will be to the Defense Department, because half of the cuts follow 1 6 of the budget and that is the Defense Department and that is too severe and they need to be spread out across the entire spending of issues. Interest payments which help no one build nothing will crowd on the rest of the budget and it will damage our economy in the meantime right now.
