This girl and her family. She was crossing this busy street in randolph last night when she was hit by a car and killed. Now, laura viera of east boston, a few days shy of her 16th birthday was pronounced dead after being transported to Milton Hospital last night. Her family members were at the hospital and are now mourning her death. Police say laura was on foot crossing north main at oak street in randolph around 8 00 last night when she was hit by a 2000 chrysler lhs sedan. Police say she was in the crosswalk at the time but that the driver did have the green light. Police say the driver, a 21yearold randolph man stayed at the scene and was cooperative. Investigators say there is no evidence of alcohol or drugs. What we believe so far is that the driver of the vehicle did stop and make himself known to police and he gave statement. City of boston youll see some snow this evening but with temperatures in the upper 30s in boston and not going down, i dont anticipate any accumulating snow. Meteorologist Jeremy Reiner for us i think we can get through this Winter Weather advisory in effect for worcester hills since 6 oclock newscast the Weather Service has pushed back the advisory farther west meaning they think inside 495 youre just going to have wet roads for morning commute. We have aseen that snow begin to change over to rain especially south of town. There are couple left off pockets of snow flurries around metro north side of metro outer here through rhode island connecticut and southeast mass. Thats the milder air. And that will work north. So if you havent seen snow flip over to rain it happens tonight and it will be patch light rain rain. Morning commute features rain drops in worcester hills and southern new hampsire there may air.
