More than 60 teachers will be honored for their outstanding service to the students and families of Macomb County during April 11 celebration.

Denver Public Schools are dealing with a big bump in enrollment as hundreds of migrant children from South America look for an education.

A flood of children have arrived in metro Denver after their families crossed the southern U.S. border in search of better lives, and school districts from Westminster to Douglas County are welcoming them into their classrooms.

At Denver Public Schools, the state’s largest district, more than 2,000 migrant students have enrolled since July, including 500 in October alone.

The youth football and cheer organization’s 16th annual pink out game is set for Oct. 14 at Anchor Bay Middle School North.

Newly arrived migrant students are boosting Denver Public Schools’ enrollment this fall. The spike comes after a years-long decline in enrollment in DPS.

When Credibility Matters

Elementary students at North Carolina’s Cook Literacy Model School will soon receive mentorship from 32 Winston-Salem State University students every week until the end of April.

Denver has identified 15 schools with very low enrollment. Some board members who previously opposed school closures say the situation has become unsustainable.
