THE annual awards ceremony at Charleville CBS Secondary School took place at the Charleville Park Hotel last Thursday afternoon when the second level students gathered for the last time in a formal setting as the end of the school year approaches.
The awards ceremony for the Leaving Certificate Class of 2020 students at Charleville CBS Secondary School, which should have taken place last May but was cancelled due to the Covid-19 restrictions, took place in a truncated form last week at the school.
There were awards for excellence in Maths, Business Studies, Geography, History, English, Applications to Studies, Science, Foreign Language, Gaeilge, Music, Art, Design and Construction and Contribution to School Life.
Student Fergal O Connor received the award for Maths excellence from teacher Sean Roberts and for Foreign language competency from teacher Laur a o Mahony, and he also received the Music award.
