Peace Country residents have an opportunity to salute local nurses at an event at the Grand Sunset Theatre in TARA Centre Parking Lot A at Evergreen Park on May 14.
On the outdoor screen that night the movie Patch Adams, starring Robin Williams, will be featured and admission will be sold with proceeds going to the Striving For Nursing Excellence Bursary.
Admission is $60 per vehicle and gates open at 8 p.m. Entertainment starts at 8:45 p.m. There will be a speech from the mayor; story from a local business owner who has had experience in healthcare; speeches from a couple of physicians; and emcee Tracy King also keeping the crowd engaged.
