LEMONT, IL Lemont High School has been named one of the best high schools in Illinois, according to a new ranking by U.S. News and World Report. This year s list ranks more than 17,800 public high schools throughout the country. Among those schools, Lemont High School ranked No. 51 in Illinois. The school said this ranking puts it in the top 7 percent of public high schools in the state. In Illinois, the top five schools are all Chicago Public Schools selective enrollment high schools. Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire is ranked sixth in the state and Lake Forest High School is ranked seventh.
