Microsoft disclosed that it suspended several developer program accounts that were able to obtain drivers certified by its Windows Hardware Developer Program that likely deployed ransomware.

Several cybersecurity firms have warned Microsoft that cybercriminals have been using signed malicious drivers to kill antivirus and EDR processes.

Microsoft says Windows Server updates released during Decembers Patch Tuesday will trigger errors when trying to create new virtual machines on some Hyper-V hosts. 

Microsoft has released new Patch Tuesday updates today for December 2022 on Windows 10 versions 21H1, 21H2, and 22H2 under KB5021233. There are also updates for older Windows 10 versions too.

Microsoft has released Patch Tuesday updates for Windows 8.1 (KB5021294) and Windows 7 (KB5021291). They both come with several improvements but also some known issues, with workarounds.

Microsoft recently shipped its Patch Tuesday updates for Windows 11 and Windows 10. All supported versions of the operating systems have an update to install.

Microsoft has released its December Patch Tuesday updates for Windows 11 22H2 and 21H2. A Windows 11 servicing stack update is also included to ensure future updates download and install properly.

Today marks the end of servicing of Windows 10 version 21H1. According to the official documentation from Microsoft, Windows 10 21H1 will no longer receive updates and security patches.
