The St. Joseph Foundation of Elliot Lake has received a commitment for a donation on $1 million. The commitment comes from the Edward and Suzanne Rogers Foundation. The donation will be spread over five years, with the first installments being used for important capital purchases.

The Edward and Suzanne Rogers Foundation has donated a $1-million donation to the St. Joseph’s Foundation of Elliot Lake.
Suzanne Rogers says she has a strong personal connection to Elliot Lake, having been born at the hospital and having lost her father, Miklos Kolev in a mining accident at Pater Mine when she was a child.
She adds once she was made aware of the need at St. Joseph’s Hospital, she responded quickly stating she wanted to give back to her hometown and understands how vital the CT scanner if for the community.
