Shahid Latif, the alleged chief handler of the fidayeen squad that attacked the Pathankot airbase in 2016, was killed in a mosque in Sialkot, Pakistan. Some observers believe that factionalism and in-fighting within Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) may have led to his killing. Latif, who was on India s most wanted list, was also a designated terrorist under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
