Disparities in COVID Vaccination

During the initial COVID-19 vaccine rollout in the United States and the United Kingdom, people who identified as racial and ethnic minorities were up to three times as likely to report being hesitant to get vaccinated, a new study in Nature Communications reveals. However, the study also found that Black people in the U.S. were less likely to receive vaccines than white people, a disparity that wasn’t present in the United Kingdom.
