HOWLAND – Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital has updated visitor restrictions in effect during the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to information released today, the facility will allow one visitor per patient per stay between visiting hours of 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. the visitor must remain in the patient room.
No one under the age of 18 is allowed to visit.
No visitors are permitted for the following patients: any PUI (Patient Under Investigation) for COVID-19 or confirmed COVID-19 positive patients.
All visitors will be screened prior to entry. They must show no COVID-like symptoms or risk factors.
All visitors must wear their own mask/facial covering at all times (covering their nose and mouth) and adhere to social distancing while in the facility.

LAHAD DATU: Three siblings, who “snatched” their father’s remains from the Lahad Datu Hospital last Wednesday, were fined RM1,000 each by the Magistrate s Court here Monday for obstructing health officers from discharging their duties to screen the body for Covid-19.
Magistrate Ryan Sagirann Rayner Jr. meted out the sentence on twin brothers Said Jipri and Sabri, 27, and their sister Jenrey, 26, after they pleaded guilty to the charge.
They were charged with obstructing Mohamad Izwan Ahmad Saibi, an officer authorised by the Ministry of Health, to perform his duties at the Patient Under Investigation (PUI) Zone, Emergency Department of the Lahad Datu Hospital, at 8.30pm, last Jan 20.
