Speyside Distillery Parent Company Reveals Plans For New Whisky Making Facility
Speyside Distillers, currently operators of the historic Speyside Distillery “nestled within the magnificent Cairngorm Mountains,” recently revealed plans for a new state of the art single malt whisky distillery. While some of the details of the plan, including location and design, are still under wraps, the facility is supposed to be the latest extension in the distillery’s expansion plan.
“Last year was challenging for us, as it was for most businesses dealing with Covid-19. As for locals, they too agreed that Connecticut serves up a pretty mean pie. I mean, that (the bill) sounds good to me, said New Haven resident, Aaron McCall. Our pizza is great, we have Pepe s, we have Modern, we have some good spots. It didn t originate here, but we can make it our home.
But, we know good pizza doesn t just come from New Haven! Connecticut has the most mom and pop pizza shops than any state, said Caplan. We have the most pizzerias per capita, so it s the whole state.
As for other state food contenders, like the lobster roll, and the hamburger Caplan says, those still don t beat our pizza.

I m surprised this hasn t happened already! Senator Gary Winfield and Rep. Patricia Dillion have introduced a bill to officially recognize pizza as the official state food of Connecticut. I d go so far to say pizza already is unofficially the state food because we all know Connecticut Pizza is THE BEST in the country! DUH!!
