Srinivasa Peddinti is a postdoctoral research scholar in the department of Land, Air, and Water Resources at the University of California, Davis. His primary research focuses on soil moisture sensor calibration, soil-water-plant interactions, and root water uptake studies. He comments on his research.<p>

Kelsey Fenn is a Ph.D. student in UC Daviss soil and biogeochemistry graduate group. She is studying the cover crop and its usefulness in increasing water infiltration in the soil.

Daniele Zaccaria is an Associate Professor and Agricultural Water Management Specialist at Cooperative Extensional UC Davis. He noted that nearly 20 percent of the pistachio acreage on poor saline soils.

Following 21 years of guiding the Almond Board of California through multiple billion-pound crops, Richard Waycott will step down at the end of the year. Claire Turner will be the new President and CEO.

Paul Wenger is an almond and walnut grower in Stanislaus County. He noted that California must be able to store water during heavy rains.

Matt Lindsey farms almonds in Fresno County. He irrigates with flood water on his sandy ground, which is good for his almonds but also with groundwater recharge.<p>
