Bob Beede is a UCANR Farm Advisor Kings County, Emeritus. He consults with walnut, almond, and pistachio growers. He noted that walnuts are struggling both domestically and in some export markets due to competition.

Richard Waycott is the President and CEO of the Almond Board of California. He noted the complicated strategy to get a good objective forecast of the 2023 almond production.
