Frustration is mounting among families who cannot visit their loved ones graves at the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges cemetery due to a strike, which has reached the three-month mark.

Unionized workers at the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery have voted in favour of a general unlimited strike. In a news release, the STTCNDDN–CSN union said it adopted the strike mandate with a 71 per cent vote in favour.

The cemetery has been closed on Sundays and through holiday weekends, leaving people to mourn outside the gates. People looking to pay their respects to lost loved ones are getting increasingly frustrated with the lack of access.
