Lindsay Clancy was "horrifically overmedicated" when she allegedly killed her three young children at their home in Duxbury, Massachusetts, her attorney Kevin J. Reddington claims. Reddington says that people who are proven to be overmedicated can invoke a defense of not guilty by reason of insanity.

Clancys attorney said the nurse, wife and mother had been prescribed as many as 12 medications for postpartum psychosis in the months before the tragedy.
