A Virginia man has been charged with murder in the death of a Winston-Salem man who was found severely beaten March 21 at Salem Lake Park, authorities said Monday.
A Patrick Springs man was arrested by the Patrick County Sheriff s Office on Monday in connection with a robbery that occurred in Winston-Salem, North Carolina earlier that day. Jerry Christopher Howard, 40, of 4028 Pleasant View Drive, was taken into custody and jailed in the Patrick County Jail, awaiting extradition to Winston-Salem.
A woman was sent to the hospital after being shot in the head by her alleged boyfriend early Monday morning, according to the Patrick County Sheriff’s Office.
