The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has called Elder Carl B. Cook and Elder Marcus B. Nash as senior president and new member, respectively, of the churchs Presidency of the Seventy.

Elder Carl B. Cook replaces Elder Patrick Kearon as senior president of the Presidency of the Seventy. The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints also added Elder Marcus B. Nash to the Presidency of the Seventy.

A Carlisle-born 62-year-old has been appointed as the latest senior member of the Mormon Church.

President Nelson called Elder Kearon, who was born in Carlisle, Cumberland, England, from his role as senior president of Presidency of the Seventy.
