Some countries still insist passengers wear masks

As of Monday, travelers are not required to wear masks on planes if they are traveling within the European Union.

The EU’s mask mandate for passengers on flights and in airports ends on Monday, following updated guidelines from the bloc’s Aviation Safety Agency.

Masks are no longer required on many EU flights, but countries including Germany, Italy and Spain keep the rule.

Spain has extended their current COVID entry restrictions for travellers for another month ahead of the holiday period.

As of Monday, travelers are not required to wear masks on planes if they are traveling within the European Union.
