investigation is pointing that this all may have started in a kitchen just before 12:30 this morning. it quickly went up in flames. i don t know what happened. the whole thing happened so fast. it was unbelievable. good thing they pulled the alarm. reporter: two firefighters were injured while trying to battle. one with serious but nonlife threatening injuries and another firefighter was released with no life threatening injuries. the damage that was left is significant. dozens of residents stood and watched as the building burned this morning and left wondering what would happen next. i don t know what to make of it. we re just trying to recoup and get our stuff together. reporter: but with the light of date came some calm. red cross volunteers were able to make a lot right very quickly. we ve been able to give them food and a place to stay. that s all taken care of and they are all in a place both temporary and a permanent one identified. reporter: knowing what
