Kishtwar: A delegation of members of senior citizens Council Kishtwar today called on Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pawan Parihar and projected various issues of public importance.
The members sought upgrading of the infrastructure at various tourism potential sites, including development and beautification of prestigious Chowgan ground.
The delegation demanded laying of pavement tiles on footpath around the ground, installation of Gymnastic & other recreational Instruments like Beam, Ladders Sea Saw, fountain Park, CCTV Cameras, construction of toilets and wash rooms at convenient places, deployment of full time Chowkidar to facilitate the visitors, besides development of Gandolla from Kalam Sathar to Chowgan ground. The delegation further demanded promotion of Hargad, Menthlan, Bindraban, Bhandarkoot and Kalamsathar as tourist destinations.

JAMMU, Feb 28: Media XI Cricket Club Jammu defeated Jammu United XI by 7 wickets in the ongoing ‘Friendship Cup T-20 Cricket Series’, being played at MA Stadium, here today.
Earlier, Jammu United skipper Pawan Parihar won the toss and decided to bat first. On a double paced wicket with low bounce, batsmen of Jammu United were not comfortable and they kept on loosing wickets at a regular interval.
Skipper of Media XI Cricket Club Vivek Suri rotated his bowlers wisely which paid dividend as they restricted Jammu United to 95 for all out in 20 overs. Vishal Sharma scored 19 runs and Pawan Parihar contributed 10 runs for the team.

JAMMU, Dec 20: Jammu United Cricket Club defeated Sterlite Cricket Club in close contest with two runs in Cliff Hanger T-20 tournament, here today.
Jammu United Cricket Club led by Vivek Suri won the toss and elected to bat first. Raghav was at its best from the very start but he can’t capitalized on a brisk start and was out on 19 runs. The Sterlite CC bowlers bowled on good line & length and did not gave easy runs which led to two players run outs. Vivek Suri played a captains knock of 27 runs in 22 balls and Pawan Parihar contributed 24 runs in 19 balls taking the total score to 126 in stipulated 20 overs. From Sterlite CC, Harpal Singh was the pick of bowler and clinched three wickets, whereas Vishal and Sunny took two wickets each.
