PAYETTE — Residents of Payette have been waiting with bated breath for an announcement regarding the reopening of the Payette Public Pool. While Payette city officials aren’t yet ready to make that announcement, the young woman who has taken charge of the facility is poised to get it back in shape for aerobics meets and open swims within the next two months. At the Payette City Council’s regular meeting on Monday, newly-hired recreation director Tiffany Weimar shared her plans for the pool among other things. Weimar accepted the job in early February. “This is, like, week three for me, so things are moving,” said Weimar. “First, I really just want to say thank you to everybody that’s been super helpful; Mr. Mayor [Jeff Williams] and Bobbie [Black, Deputy Clerk] and Mary [Cordova, City Clerk] and the [other clerk] in the office have been more than willing to be super helpful.”
