Premium Content Subscriber only A WOMAN caught driving with the illicit drug ice in her system, freaked out when stopped because she had never been in trouble with police before. Ipswich Magistrates Court heard of the ute driver s emotional reaction when she appeared for sentencing. The driver Aimee Leigh Booth, 28, from Redbank Plains, pleaded guilty to drug driving (methylamphetamine) on October 3, 2020; and obstructing police Prosecutor, Senior Sergeant Rebecca McDonald told the court that police intercepted Booth driving a white Ford Ranger ute at 7pm outside a house. She said Booth became quite emotional and began walking towards the door of a house.

Medics called to scene of truck, car crash on highway

Premium Content Subscriber only PARAMEDICS attended the scenes of two traffic crashes this morning, after a truck and car collided and, in a separate incident, a car crashed into a ditch. A Queensland Ambulance Spokesman said two patients were assessed for injuries following a car and truck crash on the Brisbane Valley Hwy, Fernvale.

Premium Content Subscriber only HERE are just a few of the drink and drug drivers who have recently fronted Ipswich Magistrates Court.   Brendan Francis Fleming, 28, from Blackstone, pleaded guilty in Ipswich District Court to drug driving when on an L/P licence in Ironbark on September 12. Fined $600 and licence disqualified for five months. Bienfait Kwana, 25, from Logan Central, pleaded guilty to drink driving at Greenbank on August 22. Fined $300 and disqualified for one month. Kurt Wayne Parnaby, 40, from Ipswich, was fined $500 and licence disqualified for three months when he pleaded guilty to drug positive driving in Dinmore on September 24. Craig Anthony Patterson, 43, from Karalee, lost his licence for four months and fined $500 when he pleaded guilty to driving when drug positive and on L/P licence in Karana Downs on July 13.

Two patients hospitalised after separate crashes

Premium Content TWO patients have been rushed to hospital after they were involved in separate crashes. A motorcyclist whose bike crash at the corner of Wildey Street and Butler St at 1.42pm has been hospitalised and another patient was taken to Ipswich Hospital after they were involved in a crash at Peak Crossing. The second patient’s vehicle crashed about 12.10pm on Warrill View Peak Crossing Road. Both patients were in stable conditions when they were taken to hospital. queensland ambulance
