Hong Kong Racing Tips: Wuyi to Star at Happy Valley

Hong Kong Racing Tips: Wuyi to Star at Happy Valley Zac Purton has not given up on the jockeys' title yet. IT WASN’T that long ago that talk about reigning champion jockey Zac Purton retaining his title was out of the question, with Joao Moreira ‘over the hill and faraway’. In the early weeks of February, Moreira had a decisive lead of 30 and was riding winners for fun, making the most of his partnerships with leading trainers Caspar Fownes and John Size. In the last month, however, the pendulum has slowly but surely swung in Purton’s favour. Since the beginning of March, the Zac-Man has booted home 25 winners, while his arch-rival including a suspension has had only 12.

SFU students urge Burnaby City Council to approve TransLink's shortest gondola route

The results of the latest consultation will be presented to the city council this week, which will then make a recommendation on their preferred route option to TransLink management and the Mayors’ Council in the coming months. TransLink management and the Mayors’ Council are expected to approve any route option recommended by the municipal government. This will then be added to the Mayors’ Council’s Plan or pursued as a standalone project using federal green infrastructure funding. SFU Burnaby Mountain Gondola route options: Route 1 direct, straight-line (blue); Route 2 eastern angled detour (orange); Route 3 western angled detour (purple). (TransLink) The preferred route of students, named the Route 1 option by TransLink, has a length of 2.7 km and an end-to-end travel time of six minutes. It has the lowest costs, with a construction cost of $210 million and an annual operating cost of $5.6 million, which is 30% less than the current bus operating costs.

Hong Kong Racing Tips: Lor's Runner looks a strong contender in finale

Hong Kong Racing Tips: Lor’s Runner looks a strong contender in finale Frankie Lor is seeking to reel in Caspar Fownes in the trainers' championship. IN-FORM trainer Frankie Lor sends a handful of raiders to Happy Valley in an attempt to close the six-winner gap, currently held by Caspar Fownes with 38 wins, in the trainers’ title race. Lor’s stable has been the most consistent in town since the season started, and not a week goes by without him seemingly visiting the winners’ circle. His record at Happy Valley this season also reads well with 13 wins and a 33% win and place strike rate, and he will surely be hopeful of boosting that tally by the end of the day.
